Guidelines On “'Right to Give Up'” New


  • The MahaDBT 1.0 portal is currently active for acceptance of fresh applications for the Academic Year 2025-26. The re-apply provision has also been enabled for students whose applications were marked as 'Sent Back' for AY 2023-24, AY 2024-25 and AY 2025-26.new

  • Such students are requested to re-submit their respective applications through the MahaDBT 1.0 Portal..new

  • Fresh and renewal applications for the Academic Year 2026-27 will be accepted only through the MahaDBT 2.0 Portal. Portal: (https://mahadbt2.maharashtra.gov.in/)new

  • The option to revert "Right to Give Up" applications is now available under the Institute (Principal) login.
    To Reactivate the
    'Right To Give Applications', applicants are required to contact their respective institutes, providing their application ID. The last date for reverting "Right to Give Up" applications is 30th June 2025.new
  • The Government of Maharashtra has introduced the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) Service through which the beneficiaries can apply for benefit from Schemes of various departments such as 'Social Justice and Special Assistance', 'Tribal Development', 'Directorate of Higher Education', 'Directorate of Technical Education', 'School Education and Sports', 'VJNT,OBC and SBC Welfare', 'Directorate of Medical Education and Research', etc. This benefit is received directly into the Aadhaar linked bank account of the eligible beneficiaries.
  • Step 1Online Application - The Citizen applies for a benefit via Direct Benefit Transfer(DBT) Portal.
  • Step 2Scrutiny- The applications process for scrutiny.
  • Step 3Allotment - After Scrutiny sent for allotment.
  • Step 4Disbursement - At this stage benefit is received in aadhaar link bank account of respective beneficiary.
